Meet Our Team

Ashley has been with Smithfield Dental intermittently since September of 2007. She leads the team and oversees all operations of the practice. She has lived in the Isle of Wight for most of her life, graduating from Isle of Wight Academy in 2004 and obtaining her associate’s degree from Paul D. Camp Community College. Ashley is currently continuing her education at Old Dominion University. In February of 2018, she was blessed with a beautiful baby girl who she loves spending every second with when she is not at the office.

Lindsay graduated from Old Dominion University in 2013 with a bachelor’s in public health administration. She has been working in the dental field for 8 years and absolutely loves what she does. Her main goal is to ensure that every patient who walks through the door feels like family and gets the best experience possible. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her husband, Donnie, and 1-year-old little girl, Avalynn. She was born and raised in Smithfield, VA, but currently resides in Zuni, VA.

Christina Quirós is a graduate of Old Dominion University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2008 and a Master of Science in 2015. She is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator for Thomas Nelson Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program. Christina’s enjoyment of clinical dental hygiene and patient interaction allows her to serve at a part-time capacity here at Smithfield Dental, alongside her husband, whom she married in August 2015. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and is currently continuing her studies in Community College Leadership at Old Dominion University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her husband, Dr. Quirós, with their two French bulldogs, Marcie and Chloe.

Jessica graduated from Old Dominion University in 2017 with her bachelor’s in dental hygiene. She loves being part of the Smithfield team and enjoys being able to provide dental care to such an incredible patient base. She is originally from North Carolina and has a passion for hiking and being outdoors. Jessica has a dog named Otis who she loves dearly.

Melanie has been a dental assistant for 14 years and truly enjoys working alongside Dr. Quiros and the rest of her team every day. Her passion is to care for the patients of Smithfield Dental. She was born and raised in Surry County, where she lives with her two beautiful daughters, Anne Marie and Adaline. Outside of the office, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family on the river and hunting.

Rachel is the newest member of Smithfield Dental. She graduated from Daytona State in 2012 and worked with the Army as a dental assistant for the D.O.D for several years before returning to private practice. In her spare time, you will find her outdoors with her boyfriend, Tim, and their two dogs, Ollie and Riggs. They enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and many other outdoor activities.
